About The Position

Metal Toad is a strategic AI partner that helps customers use AI to build engines for future growth. The company partners with AWS, Anthropic, and OpenAI, and brings together consultants, software engineers, DevOps engineers, UX designers, project managers, marketers, and support staff. Team members are expected to be interested in AI’s impact and believe in a human-first, AI-enabled future. The Backend Engineer builds high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications as part of a team working on mission-critical applications. This role is fully remote, but applicants must reside in Brazil and work as contractors. Compensation is paid in Brazilian Reais. Metal Toad cannot sponsor visas. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience with Python.
Familiarity with relational database concepts and querying and modeling using a relational data store.
Familiarity with Postman and making API calls.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
Experience with REST API development and deployment.
Experience with JSON modeling and usage.
Experience using package managers such as npm or pip.
Experience using Git for source control.
Experience with TDD and/or BDD.
Applicants must reside in Brazil.

Nice To Haves

NodeJS experience.
