About The Position

Jovie is seeking engaging, creative, and fun individuals to join their on-call team as a Back Up Nanny in Redmond, WA. This role offers a flexible schedule, with full-time positions available. You will provide in-home care for children ranging from infants to toddlers, with the highest demand for infants under two years old. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of the children and leading hands-on activities based on their developmental needs. No household duties beyond cleaning up after your own activities or meals are required, and you will not be expected to transport children.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• Available any 4 or more days for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
• Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
• Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
• May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner

Nice To Haves

• Worked as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer
• Retired teacher or teaching professional

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
