About The Position

Sushi Roku is hiring a part-time Back Server to support servers and uphold service standards. The role helps maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant, delivers food from the kitchen to guests, assists with table management, resets tables, and supports the steps of service. Back Servers should be knowledgeable about the restaurant’s food and beverage offerings and provide attentive, efficient hospitality in a high-energy dining environment.

Requirements

At least 2 years of previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills with guests and teammates.
Positive, upbeat attitude and strong work ethic.
Flexible availability to work days, nights, and weekends.
Valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training Certificate upon hire.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Learn the restaurant’s food offerings and beverage program.
Deliver food to guests, explain each dish, and describe accompanying condiments and their use.
Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
Promptly clean, reset, and arrange tabletops, chairs, and booths between seatings, and clean floors as needed.
Respond appropriately to guest requests and promptly communicate them to the server.
Communicate with servers and hosts to support efficient seating and table utilization.
Inspect the assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean it as needed.
Complete station opening and closing duties and shift side work.
Deliver exceptional service and hospitality.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant and its perimeters and support servers during service.
