2027 Back of House Supervisor
About The Position
As a Back of House Supervisor, you will support the Food and Beverage Manager by leading the culinary team and ensuring food safety protocols and brand standards are followed. This role also serves as a lead cook and/or expediter. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment. The position requires wearing and working in personal protective equipment when applicable, independently lifting at least 45 pounds, and working in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas. The job description may be amended at the company's discretion.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of culinary leadership experience.
- Food Handler Certification and TIPS card.
- Knife skills and inventory experience.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Wear and work in personal protective equipment when applicable.
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds independently.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
- Satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.

Responsibilities
- Support team member management, including interviewing, scheduling, and coaching.
- Maintain food safety standards and allergen awareness.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials.
- Ensure clean and safe workspaces through daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and waste tracking.
- Lead by example and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Set clear expectations and communicate effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
