About The Position
The Back of House - DMO/Busser clears and resets tables, cleans dining areas and tables, and washes dishes, pots, utensils, silverware, and glassware while ensuring IHOP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guest cleanliness standards are met. The role involves maintaining professional working relationships with employees and guests, keeping service areas and the dining room stocked, and completing assigned cleaning and food-service support tasks. No prior experience is required; assigned IHOP training coursework may be required.
Requirements

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to understand oral instructions in English and read English or Spanish well enough to understand supervisors’ instructions, coworkers’ and guests’ requests, and warning and safety labels.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one-step or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to stand and walk regularly; frequently use hands and arms, reach, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and occasionally talk or hear.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables; clean chairs, booths, and floors after guests leave.
- Pick up, sort, and wash china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Follow dish machine and/or sink procedures according to IHOP SOP.
- Unload, unbox, rotate, and store food, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Stock and rotate supplies in service areas and the dining room.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Check restrooms hourly to ensure supplies are properly stocked and facilities are clean.
- Perform cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
- Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards according to SOP guidelines.
- Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor.
