About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer Lead to join our team. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS services, cloud migration, infrastructure provisioning, and EKS, along with a team player attitude and the ability to collaborate with solution architects. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience, and a minimum of 8 years of experience in software systems and applications oversight.

Requirements

• Overall 10+ years of IT experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in AWS.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ALB, NLB, Sagemaker, and Bedrock.
• Experience with on-premises to AWS cloud migration projects.
• Provisioning infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience with EKS.
• At least 1 year of experience with Terraform.
• Experience with networking and troubleshooting skills like VPC.
• Any certification related to AWS is required.
• AI exposure is required in some roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 8 years of proven success overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with regulatory compliance is a big plus.
• Experience in the healthcare domain is a super plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tunes, upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains all computer systems relevant to the supported applications.
• Develops and implements techniques to prevent system problems, troubleshoots incidents to recover services, and supports root cause analysis.
• Evaluates new systems by performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews.
• Researches software and related products to support recommendations and purchasing.
• Determines systems integration issues by evaluating components and developing performance tests.
• Improves engineering job knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Acts as a mentor for junior and senior team members.
