About The Position

Velocity Aerospace Group, a subsidiary of Precision Aviation Group (PAG), is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician for its Burbank, California facility. Velocity operates three repair stations specializing in the repair, overhaul, installation, and upgrade of electromechanical, digital, pneumatic, avionic, and gyroscopic components for various aviation markets. The Avionics Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing component-level repairs, and modifying a variety of aviation instruments and accessories to ensure perfect function and deliver high-quality repairs to customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic repair.
• Experience with oscilloscope, multimeters, soldering wires and connectors, operation of various crimping tools, wire stripping, continuity testing, pinning out a military type connector, routing and tie wrapping cables, drilling and tapping holes and building junction boxes.
• Intermediate knowledge of computers (Windows).
• Ability to understand verbal/written instructions in English.
• Knowledge in the development of comprehensive project plans.
• Frequently standing; walking.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Visual acuity to inspect small components and detailed repairs, manuals.
• Dexterity to work with and on small tools and component parts.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, diagnose component level repair and modify a variety of aviation instruments and accessories.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits to component level.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders.
• Analyze malfunctions using electronic test equipment, schematics and technical publications.
• Collaborate with team members for efficient and effective work environment.
• Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area on a daily basis.
