AVID Tutor / Student Worker
About The Position
Pasadena Unified School District is seeking AVID tutors to support students’ academic and personal growth. Tutors participate actively in students’ learning and development and serve as role models of motivated, organized, successful college students who believe in students’ potential to succeed. They support secondary students as advocates while remaining responsible to the teacher, and meet regularly with teachers to discuss student progress and plan future tutorials. Applicants must be enrolled at a college or university and submit proof of enrollment, proof of completed education (high school diploma, GED, or higher), and an updated resume. Experience working supportively with secondary students is required.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled at a college or university and provide proof of enrollment.

- Should be a motivated, organized, successful college student and a positive role model.
- Must be willing to support students while understanding the tutor’s responsibilities to the teacher.
