About The Position

Port City Air (PCA), located at Pease in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is a full-service, 24/7 fixed base operator and aviation services company. The Aviation Line Service Technician provides ground services for aircraft of any size and performs day-to-day housekeeping and groundskeeping at airport facilities. This is an entry-level position that includes learning to tow, marshal, and fuel aircraft. The listed second-shift schedule is 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely with and around various types of equipment outdoors in all types of weather, day or night.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass FAA and Homeland Security background checks and complete a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
• Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previous aviation experience is helpful but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and anticipate customer needs.
• Marshal aircraft to the parking area.
• Refuel aircraft.
• Service water systems and ground power units.
• Tow and deice aircraft.
• Perform daily housekeeping and groundskeeping for airport facilities.
• Work safely with various types of equipment.
