  • Demonstrated advanced ability in electrical diagnostics, voltage-drop testing, oscilloscope use, CAN/network troubleshooting, engine performance, drivability diagnosis, and complex fault isolation.
  • Active, valid driver's license and driving record that meets Graham Auto Repair's applicable insurance and vehicle-use requirements when vehicle operation and road testing are essential functions of the position.
  • Complete professional inventory of personal hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment appropriate for advanced automotive diagnosis and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete end-to-end diagnosis and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, CAN/network, drivability, HVAC, emissions, and computer-controlled systems across passenger, light/medium-duty, hybrid/EV vehicles and motorhomes.
  • Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), live PID scan data, wiring schematics, lab scope waveforms, and system pressures.
  • Utilize advanced tooling including oscilloscopes, multimeters, smoke machines, and pressure gauges to verify root causes and execute precise repairs to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive Digital Vehicle Inspections on assigned vehicles and document diagnostic procedures using Graham Auto Repair's digital shop management system.
  • Capture supporting photos, videos, scan data, test results and measurements to assist Service Advisors and allow another qualified technician to continue the repair without unnecessarily repeating diagnostic work.
  • Perform appropriate pre-diagnostic test drives to verify customer concerns and post-repair test drives to confirm repair effectiveness.
  • Complete repairs according to applicable manufacturer specifications, accepted repair practices, and Graham Auto Repair quality standards.
