About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including heavy engine work and advanced electrical diagnostics on electric and hybrid vehicles. The role is listed for first shift, Monday through Friday. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana describes itself as a used automotive retailer and operates vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, repaired, and photographed before being listed on its website. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
Work in a production environment to prepare vehicles for customers.
