About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Automotive Technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles of all makes and models at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including engine, suspension, electrical, wheel bearing, axle, and climate control systems. Technicians may work on electric and hybrid vehicles. The role is based in a fast-paced production environment and may require mandatory overtime according to business needs. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Carvana offers training programs for employees joining in entry-level positions, with opportunities for skills and pay to progress.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
