Picker - 1st shift - M-F
About The Position
The Picker works under close supervision of the Picking Supervisor to prepare products for delivery. The role involves picking products from multiple warehouse zones and placing them in boxes on a conveyor system. Pickers also handle large-quantity orders by placing boxes on pallets and moving the pallets to a staging area, and prepare specialized orders or kits as assigned. The position may also include replenishing warehouse stock in an assigned area. The role follows safety guidelines and Six Sigma lean manufacturing standards, and may include other duties within the nature and level of the work.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
- Must be able to operate an RF Scanner and Pallet Jack.
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to cross-train and move between different zones frequently.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Use an RF Scanner to scan order tickets, pick customer products from multiple zones, and place them in boxes on a conveyor system.
- Pick large-quantity orders for Distribution Center customers, place boxes on pallets, and move pallets to the staging area.
- Pick specialized orders or kits from various zones and place products in boxes on a conveyor system or on a pallet.
- Replenish warehouse stock in an assigned area by scanning replenishment tickets and moving products to the assigned zone by hand or push-cart, as needed.
- Observe safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Follow Six Sigma lean manufacturing standards to keep the work area clean and safe from hazards.
- Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of the work.
