About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Automotive Technician to work in a post-production role at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The technician performs automotive diagnostics and repairs across makes and models, from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work. Work includes advanced electrical systems, including electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as wheel bearings, axles, and climate-control systems.

The position offers a pay rate of $22.00 to $33.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday on first shift, with mandatory overtime possible when business needs require it. Technicians work in a fast-paced production environment and use state-of-the-art tools. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
• Use of required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform general to complex automotive repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including those involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Repair wheel bearings and axles.
• Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air-conditioning systems and heater cores.
