About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work spans light maintenance through complex repairs, including advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles. The role is listed as first shift, Monday through Friday, and may require mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Carvana describes its Inspection Centers as reconditioning facilities where vehicles are inspected, repaired, and prepared before being photographed and listed on the company website. The position offers training programs for entry-level employees, though this role requires at least three years of professional automotive repair experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Passing a complete background check is required for hiring.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Repair wheel bearings and axles.
• Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
