About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repairs and diagnostics at a high-tech Inspection Center. The work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including heavy engine work, across various makes and models. Technicians may work on vehicle electrical systems, including electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems. The position is listed as first shift, Monday through Friday. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana describes the role as operating in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold. Employment is contingent on passing a background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform general and complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
