About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles, builds experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign makes, and works with the service department and other technicians to resolve guest concerns and deliver quality results. The shop is located at 306 Great Place Dr., Edwardsville, IL 62025, and is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight repair spaces.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional results.
Meet or exceed hourly goals.
