About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking energetic, upbeat automotive technicians and mechanics with positive attitudes who are committed to finding solutions to difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across domestic and foreign makes, and work collaboratively with the service department and other technicians to resolve concerns efficiently and deliver high-quality results. The role is at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive location in Edwardsville, Illinois. The facility provides manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, a consistent workload, free training, live technician support, and access to a Technician Assistance Center.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair guest vehicles.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
Meet or exceed hourly goals.
