About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician/mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles across a wide range of domestic and foreign makes and models, conducts accurate and honest courtesy inspections, and collaborates with the service department and fellow technicians to resolve concerns efficiently and deliver high-quality results. The role is at the Christian Brothers Automotive location at 2190 Church Road in Arnold, Missouri. The location is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee, who is the employer. The shop is described as climate-controlled, with heated bays and air conditioning anticipated in the future.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn additional skills and processes.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces as required for repairs.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
• Desire for long-term career development.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
• Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
