About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician/mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, building experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, and working collaboratively with the service department and other technicians. The shop is fully air conditioned and closed every weekend. This opening is at a locally owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair guests’ vehicles.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
Meet or exceed hourly goals.
