About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive Hixson is hiring experienced A-Level and B-Level Automotive Technicians/Mechanics to join a growing team focused on honest, high-quality automotive care. The role suits technicians who take pride in their craft, enjoy solving complex vehicle concerns, act with integrity, and are motivated to help guests stay safe through dependable service. Technicians work in a collaborative, climate-controlled shop and service a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles. The shop provides access to OEM and aftermarket diagnostic tools, specialty tools, technician support, and training. This opening is with an independently owned and operated local franchisee, which is the employer and makes all employment decisions. Compensation is listed as $35–$55 per hour. The posting also offers up to $55 per hour for the most skilled technicians.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
- Ability to diagnose and repair many makes and models of vehicles.
- Positive attitude and desire to serve guests as part of a team.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Desire for growth and long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces dictated by repairs.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
- Continue building automotive mechanic experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
