About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to solving difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles, builds experience across domestic and foreign makes, performs accurate and honest courtesy inspections, and works with the service department and fellow technicians to address concerns and deliver results. The role is at a locally owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive location in Missouri City, Texas.

The shop is fully climate controlled and equipped with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools. Technicians have access to consistent workloads, ongoing training, live technician support, and the private Technician Assistance Center. The local franchisee is the employer and makes all employment decisions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Desire for long-term career development.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
• Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicate effectively with the service department about concerns.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
