About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is hiring an Automotive Technician / Mechanic for its Holland, Michigan location under new ownership. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles, presents solutions with integrity and transparency, and works to provide a positive guest experience. The role involves servicing a wide range of foreign and domestic vehicles, completing digital courtesy inspections, and collaborating with the service department and other technicians. The shop offers access to manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, ongoing training, and live technical support. The position is at a location independently owned and operated by a local franchisee, which is responsible for employment decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
- Ability to diagnose and repair many makes and models of vehicles.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
- Expand automotive knowledge and experience by working on a wide range of foreign and domestic vehicles.
- Complete accurate and transparent digital courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Communicate findings related to guest concerns to the service department.
- Collaborate with the team to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
