We're looking for a motivated, eager-to-learn Technician Apprentice who is ready to build a career in automotive service alongside experienced professionals who are committed to excellence. Under general supervision, the Service Technician Apprentice supports and performs automotive maintenance, repair, and inspection work in connection with diagnosing and servicing automobiles. This is a full-time hourly position that offers a real pathway to earn a great living while developing the skills and certifications needed to advance your automotive career. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Active Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions Certification (Required)
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License (Required)
  • Basic hand tools applicable to automotive repair (candidate must supply)
  • Experience with computers and basic software applications
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Effective time management and workflow efficiency
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and stay current with service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and compliance with all shop safety rules and procedures
  • Must be physically capable of performing all duties of the position

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with shop and manufacturer standards
  • Conduct PA State Safety and Emissions Inspections
  • Perform thorough and accurate multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Document all repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding repair status, additional findings, and time estimates so customers stay informed
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor with service advisors and clients
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and shop environment at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
