About The Position

Casey Auto Group is hiring an Apprentice Automotive Technician for a tuition-free development path toward becoming a professional A-level technician. The apprentice will learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced automotive technicians. This is not an entry-level position; the company seeks quality general repair technicians who want to advance their careers. Compensation is based on experience.

Requirements

• Formal education in automotive technology, either completed or currently in progress, and/or professional technician experience in a shop, such as automotive technician, lube technician, general service technician, express service technician, or apprentice technician.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Great attitude, work ethic, and attendance.
• Must have basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced technicians.
• Learn to test vehicle systems and components to confirm they are secure and working properly.
• Identify systems or components that may have caused a problem.
• Drive vehicles for testing and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
