About The Position

Casey Auto Group is hiring an Apprentice Automotive Technician to develop their automotive repair skills under the guidance of experienced technicians through a tuition-free training path. This is not an entry-level position; the company is seeking quality general repair technicians who want to advance their careers. Compensation is based on experience. The role involves general vehicle maintenance, diagnosis and repair, and learning testing and service procedures. The company describes its shops as air-conditioned, highly productive, equipped with the newest technology, and clean and professional.

Requirements

Have formal automotive technology education, either completed or in progress, and/or professional shop experience such as automotive technician, lube technician, general service technician, express service technician, or apprentice technician.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Have a deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
Have strong mechanical aptitude.
Be willing to learn from experienced technicians.
Have effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
Be able to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
Be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Have a great attitude, work ethic, and attendance.
Have basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Perform general vehicle maintenance.
Work alongside experienced technicians.
Learn to test and check that vehicle systems and components are secure and working properly.
Identify systems or components that may have caused a problem.
Drive vehicles for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
