About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Mercedes-Benz of Rochester. The technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealership and factory standards, diagnoses vehicle problems, and supports customer loyalty by building trust and confidence. This is an opportunity to work for a large, growing automotive dealership group with more than 25 vehicle brands, over 50 dealerships across seven states, and more than 3,500 employees.

Requirements

Automotive Service Technician experience.
Excellent customer service.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on repair orders, efficiently and accurately and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to people without mechanical expertise, including employees and customers.
Stay current with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems.
Maintain an organized work area.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
