About The Position

H+H Chevy is hiring an Automotive Service Technician specializing in transmissions to work at its new dealership at Steel Ridge Auto Mall in Papillion. The technician will diagnose and repair transmission problems, including transmission rebuilds, in a fast-paced team environment. The role requires a quality mindset, a desire to work collaboratively with other technicians, and the technician’s own automotive tools; a toolbox will be provided. The stated pay range is $55,000 to $150,000. H+H Chevy describes its shop as brand-new and air-conditioned, with new equipment. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a GM dealership is preferred.
Skill in transmission repair.
Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
Must provide own automotive tools; a toolbox will be provided.
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Clean driving record.
High energy and a positive attitude.
Ability to perform bending, pushing, climbing, leaning, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and other maneuvers associated with the position.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, including 50 pounds overhead, throughout the day.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Must complete post-offer driving and criminal background checks, a drug screen, and a lift/back test.

Responsibilities

Repair vehicles with transmission damage or malfunctions using diagnostic tools, road tests, and inspections.
Perform medium-duty diesel repair.
Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, or rebuild transmissions as needed.
Reinstall transmissions and verify proper operation and vehicle performance.
Perform fluid and filter changes, transmission flushes, and software updates.
Use hand tools and power tools frequently.
Help maximize customer satisfaction by providing service to each customer.
