About The Position

VSSI Staffing is hiring an Automotive Tear-Down Technician for a growing automotive parts operation in Dallas, Texas. The technician disassembles engines, transmissions, and related automotive components using air and power tools, and separates and organizes parts according to instructions. The role includes checking components for visible damage or wear and following procedures to meet daily production and quality goals.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with starting pay of $16 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Selected employees complete several weeks of off-site training covering disassembly procedures, production standards, company processes, and safety expectations.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of engines, transmissions, or automotive systems.
• Experience using air tools, impact guns, or power tools.
• Ability to recognize tools and select the correct socket sizes.
• Comfort with repetitive mechanical work, extended standing, and physical tasks.
• Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and attention to safety.
• Ability to maintain a steady pace in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Take apart engines, transmissions, and related automotive components.
• Safely use impact guns, air tools, sockets, and other equipment.
• Choose the correct tools and socket sizes for each task.
• Separate and organize parts according to instructions.
• Check components for visible damage or wear.
• Follow disassembly procedures and meet daily production and quality goals.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe.
