About The Position

Kunes Auto Group is hiring Automotive Service Technicians, Auto Mechanics, Diagnostic Technicians, and Dealership Technicians at all experience levels, from entry-level to master technicians. The role involves diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while delivering high-quality work that meets manufacturer and dealership standards. Technicians work in a fast-paced dealership service department and maintain repair records while communicating recommendations to service management. The posting identifies a Phase 3 Certified CDJR Technician and welcomes candidates with varied experience.

Requirements

• All experience levels are welcome, from entry-level technicians to seasoned professionals.
• Entry-level candidates need a high school diploma/GED, automotive technical school training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, or willingness to learn.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership service department.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of automotive repair or technician experience.
• One or more ASE certifications.
• GM / General Motors brand experience.
• Previous dealership service department experience.
• Advanced diagnostic and electrical repair expertise.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform repairs on brakes, suspension, belts, hoses, tires, and other key systems.
• Complete routine maintenance services, including oil changes and tire rotations.
• Maintain accurate, detailed repair records and communicate recommendations to service management.
• Deliver high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
