About The Position

Levittown Ford Service Center is hiring a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Automotive Service Receptionist / Service BDC Representative to join our growing Service Department in Levittown, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, call centers, reception, appointment scheduling, hospitality, retail, or automotive dealerships who wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry. If you're comfortable speaking with customers, answering phones, scheduling appointments, working on a computer, and providing exceptional customer service, we want to meet you!

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to learn dealership software and systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

• Reception, call center, BDC, hospitality, retail, or automotive experience is a plus
• Automotive dealership experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming dealership and service department phone calls professionally
• Greet customers arriving at the Service Department
• Schedule and confirm automotive service appointments
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, text, and online channels
• Assist customers with service appointment questions
• Direct customers to the appropriate Service Advisor or dealership department
• Make outbound customer follow-up and retention calls
• Follow up on service appointments and reminders
• Confirm upcoming appointments and help reduce missed appointments
• Maintain accurate customer information in dealership software
• Enter and update customer and appointment information
• Coordinate appointment schedules with the Service Department
• Help maximize service appointment opportunities
• Assist Service Advisors and Service Management with administrative tasks
• Provide professional and friendly customer communication
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience during every interaction
