About The Position
Long-Lewis Ford of Cullman is hiring a Service Technician Trainee to join its fast-paced, team-driven dealership. The role offers an opportunity for someone fresh out of technical school or with shop experience to learn, grow, and build a career with the dealership group. The apprentice will assist certified technicians, perform basic vehicle services, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and learn dealership systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures. The position includes hands-on training and mentorship, paid training, and a path toward certification, with opportunities for advancement within the dealership group. The work takes place in shop and outdoor environments.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in an automotive setting or completion of technical training.
- Willingness to learn in both shop and outdoor environments.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and parts as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
Responsibilities
- Assist certified technicians with repairs and maintenance.
- Perform basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Learn dealership systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
