About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor reports to the Store Manager and supports operations in the store’s service department. The role sets high standards of excellence and models the company’s core values while fostering a motivated team environment. The advisor works closely with the Service Team to develop team members, execute store processes, improve performance through a hands-on presence, and provide an industry-leading customer experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a Service Advisor/Writer role.
Outstanding leadership and store management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to mentor others to ensure efficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members.
Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team.
Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Work directly with customers on sales, service, customer opportunities, and adjustments.
Create a highly motivated team environment.
Supervise technicians and service personnel, plan and schedule duties, assign work, and follow up on completion.
Coach service department teammates on operational issues.
Evaluate the performance and productivity of service department personnel.
Manage parts inventory and outside purchases, and update and restock in-house parts as needed.
Ensure store safety, including use and maintenance of safety equipment.
Ensure proper equipment and hardware layout and positioning in the service department.
Supervise the shop area, equipment, and teammates for compliance with company safety procedures.
Ensure proper inspections are conducted.
