About The Position

Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships is hiring a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer for its service team at Elkton CDJR in Elkton, Maryland. The role connects customers with the service department and involves assisting customers in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Compensation is salary plus commission/bonus, with an advertised income range of $50,000 to $85,000+. Hertrich is a family-owned and operated dealership group with 24 dealerships, 18 automotive brands, and 15 collision centers. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior customer service and/or sales experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a flexible schedule that includes evenings and Saturdays. Automotive experience is a plus.

Requirements

Prior customer service and/or sales experience is required.
Strong communication skills; English is required.
Comfort using computers and learning dealership software.
High school diploma or GED required.
Flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet service customers promptly and professionally.
Answer service calls and schedule appointments in the business development department and service department.
Clearly communicate repair needs, estimates, and timelines.
Coordinate repair orders with technicians.
Keep customers informed throughout the service process.
Recommend additional maintenance or services when appropriate.
Maintain accurate service records.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every visit.
