Requirements

  • 1+ year of automotive dealership experience required.
  • 1+ year of automotive sales management experience required.
  • Proven track record of success in automotive sales management.
  • Strong experience with desking deals, negotiations, closing, and gross-profit management.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and hold sales professionals accountable.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven personality.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive, high-energy personality.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Ability to establish strong partnerships and alliances within the dealership and community.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Sales license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the automotive sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Ensure sales consultants are properly trained and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach throughout the sales process.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, establish sales goals, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Assist sales consultants with desking deals, negotiations, trade evaluations, and closing customers.
  • Structure and review deals while working to maximize dealership gross and overall profitability.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the sales and purchasing process.
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally while working toward successful resolutions.
  • Oversee vehicle inventory presentation, merchandising, and lot standards.
  • Monitor new and used vehicle inventory and ensure vehicles are properly displayed and ready for sale.
  • Manage trade-in vehicles and assist with accurate vehicle appraisals and inventory decisions.
  • Maintain accurate dealership records and ensure sales processes and documentation are completed properly.
  • Work with the sales team to identify opportunities, follow up with customers, and increase closing ratios.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and other dealership partners.
  • Lead by example by maintaining professionalism, integrity, energy, and a strong work ethic.
  • Help drive a positive, high-performance culture throughout the sales department.
