About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Automotive Rim / Wheel Repair Technician to work in a vehicle reconditioning center in Hutchins, Texas. The technician repairs deep wheel damage, operates a wheel repair machine, and paints and clear-coats wheels. The role is in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather. Safety equipment may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Carvana describes its reconditioning centers as places where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on its website. The company offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience in wheel/rim repair.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Pass a complete background check.
• Able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
