About The Position

As an Assistant Manager at Belle Tire, you support the Store Manager in leading daily operations to achieve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals. You help drive results, develop team members, and ensure smooth store performance while acting as a leader on duty and modeling Belle Tire’s culture and values. This hands-on leadership position is suited to someone preparing to advance into store management. The role involves supporting team development, sales and customer experience, operational management, financial performance, and brand culture. It is based in a tire and automotive service retail store. Work hours vary Monday through Saturday, and travel may be required for meetings, training, or multi-store support. The fast-paced workshop environment includes extended standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and exposure to moderate noise, temperature changes, and shop conditions. Belle Tire offers compensation of $50,000–$65,000 per year and a range of insurance, retirement, time-off, training, discount, and career development benefits. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of leadership experience in a retail or related customer-facing environment.
Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Financial literacy and comfort with operational reporting and performance metrics.
Proficiency in POS systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Experience or ability to support commercial and national account sales.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in coaching, developing, and motivating the store team.
Lead by example and foster accountability, teamwork, engagement, and alignment with Belle Tire’s culture and values.
Observe and assist with team huddles and provide real-time coaching, feedback, and training.
Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring alignment and continuity.
Connect daily activities to broader store goals and pursue continuous improvement.
Champion Belle Tire’s 6-Step Sales Process to drive sales, trust, and customer satisfaction.
Engage customers to identify needs, present solutions, and close sales.
Support sales across all product lines, including commercial and national accounts.
Monitor customer feedback and help maintain high service standards and long-term customer relationships.
Oversee daily store functions, including workflow, scheduling, inventory, cleaning, and shop coordination.
Support compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Ensure timely communication and execution of company initiatives.
Partner with the Store Manager on vendor relationships, product availability, and shop productivity.
Assist with P&L management by monitoring sales, labor, and expenses.
Analyze reports and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Help execute strategies to achieve or exceed store goals and financial targets.
Maintain accurate reporting, recordkeeping, and inventory management.
