About The Position
Autos of Chicago is a growing independent dealership, service department, and collision center looking for an experienced Parts Counter Person to join our team.
Requirements
- Previous automotive parts experience required
- Experience with Dealertrack DMS preferred
- ability to shop around for best prices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians, service advisors, and body shop personnel with parts requests
- Source, price, and order OEM, aftermarket, and recycled parts
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Receive, verify, label, and stock incoming parts orders
- Process parts returns and warranty claims
- Work with vendors to obtain the best pricing and availability
- Ensure all parts are billed correctly to repair orders
- Monitor backorders and communicate updates to service and body shop teams
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits
- Work closely with management to improve efficiency and profitability
