About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is hiring a full-time Automotive Parts Counter Sales professional for its Auto Value store in Manistique, Michigan. This customer-focused role involves providing accurate, efficient parts and service expertise, completing sales, and supporting daily store operations. The employee will work closely with the Store Manager and receive coaching and training in Assistant Manager responsibilities, with the goal of preparing for the next level. The position calls for automotive experience and leadership potential.

The schedule varies between 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The employee must be able to drive when needed for deliveries and meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds with both arms. Employment is contingent on completing a pre-employment physical and drug test and meeting the stated driving-record requirements.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in the automotive field.
• Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No major driving violations.
• No more than two moving violations in the past three years if over age 25, or in the past five years if under age 25.
• No more than one at-fault accident.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position, including completing a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.
• Automotive experience and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Create positive experiences with every customer interaction.
• Conduct work from a customer-focused perspective, providing efficient and accurate expertise.
• Finalize sales through phone calls, in-person communication, and other methods.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the parts and services offered.
• Address customer needs by presenting all product options and exemplifying the company’s “Never Say No” values.
• Help maintain a clean and organized store.
• Support daily store operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
• Drive when needed to make deliveries.
• Clean stock and put orders away during slow periods.
• Learn Assistant Manager responsibilities while working closely with the Store Manager.
