About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is hiring a full-time counter sales person for its Auto Value Store in Manistique, Michigan. This customer-focused role provides hands-on experience and professional growth in a fast-paced environment. The employee will work closely with the Store Manager and receive coaching and training for Assistant Manager responsibilities. Automotive experience and leadership potential are sought.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive field.
• Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No major driving violations.
• No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years if over 25, or in the past 5 years if under 25.
• No more than one at-fault accident.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements, including completing a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.

Responsibilities

• Create positive experiences through customer interactions and provide efficient, accurate assistance from a customer-focused perspective.
• Finalize sales through phone calls, in-person communication, and other methods.
• Build knowledge of the parts and services offered to customers.
• Offer customers all available product options and exemplify the company’s “Never Say No” values.
• Help maintain a clean and organized store.
• Support daily store operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
• Drive when needed to make deliveries.
• Clean stock and put orders away during slower periods.
