About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is hiring a full-time Counterperson for its Louisville, Kentucky store. This customer-focused role involves helping customers identify and purchase automotive parts and services, providing accurate expertise, and supporting the store’s daily operations. The position offers hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Auto-Wares is a Midwest distribution network founded in 1976, serving customers across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Kentucky.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in the automotive field.
Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
No major driving violations.
No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years if over age 25, or in the past 5 years if under age 25.
No more than one at-fault accident.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including completing a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.

Responsibilities

Create positive customer experiences through every interaction.
Conduct work with a customer-focused perspective and provide efficient, accurate expertise.
Complete sales through phone, in-person communication, and other methods.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the parts and services offered.
Offer customers all available product options and exemplify the company’s “Never Say No” values.
Help store personnel maintain a clean and organized store.
Support daily store operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
