About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is seeking a full-time Counterperson for its Louisville, Kentucky store. The role focuses on providing accurate, efficient, customer-oriented service in a fast-paced automotive parts environment. The Counterperson builds knowledge of the parts and services offered, completes sales through phone and in-person interactions, supports customers by presenting available product options, and assists with daily store operations. The position also includes maintaining an organized store, processing returns, and helping newer store personnel. The schedule is full time; store hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive field.
• Customer-focused, with strong communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No major driving violations.
• No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years if over age 25, or in the past 5 years if under age 25.
• No more than one at-fault accident.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including completing a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.

Responsibilities

• Create positive experiences with every customer interaction.
• Provide efficient, accurate expertise from a customer-focused perspective.
• Finalize sales through phone calls, in-person communication, and other methods.
• Build knowledge of the parts and services offered to customers.
• Support customers by offering all available product options and reflecting the company’s “Never Say No” values.
• Help maintain a clean and organized store appearance.
• Support daily store operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
