About The Position

The Automotive Parts Counter Person assists retail and wholesale customers with parts requests to ensure the correct part is obtained the first time. The role involves identifying parts, locating them in inventory or ordering them, and supporting Parts Department operations by maintaining and tracking parts inventory and accessories.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a professional appearance and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with auto parts sales.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with the parts manager to locate parts that are not in stock.
• Complete special-order part requests for customers.
• Communicate parts status to customers.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry.
• Maintain and track parts inventory and accessories.
