About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Master Technician at Napleton's Naperville Porsche Service Center. The technician performs vehicle repairs and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards, using effective diagnosis and repair to build customer trust and loyalty. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicle systems, explaining technical findings and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, keeping management informed of repair problems, and maintaining an organized service bay. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Technician.
Self-starter with a process-driven approach.
Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
At least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel and ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical employees and customers as required.
Update technical skills and techniques through formal training to stay current with changing automotive technology.
Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
