About The Position
The Automotive Lot Porter maintains clean, well-organized new and used vehicle areas. The role includes moving and cleaning inventory vehicles, keeping dealership grounds orderly, and following company policies and facility display standards. The position requires a valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. No retail experience is necessary; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. The work environment is usually loud and involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicle exhaust and other airborne particles, and potentially hazardous automotive materials.
Requirements
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
- Ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.
- Good work ethic, organization, and a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No retail experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Keep new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by management and in accordance with facility display standards.
- Keep inventory vehicles clean as directed by management.
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including trunks and glove compartments.
- Police the dealership grounds.
- Follow the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Wear a company-approved uniform.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
