About The Position

The Lube Technician services vehicles by performing oil changes and other routine maintenance according to manufacturer specifications. The role includes checking and replenishing fluids, inspecting for leaks and other potential issues, checking tire pressure, installing replacement parts, and lubricating moving components. The technician also identifies existing vehicle issues and consults with lead mechanics to address them. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position with hours listed as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, short-term disability, a 401(k) with matching, employee discounts, paid training, and continuing education. Requirements

Demonstrated experience servicing vehicles.
Valid driver’s license.
Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Time-management and organizational skills, as well as hand-eye coordination.
Effective communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
Physical ability to perform job tasks, including bending, reaching, standing for long periods, and lifting over 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Drain and replace vehicle oil according to manufacturer specifications.
Top off brake, power steering, windshield wiper, and other fluids.
Inspect the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
Check tire pressure and fill tires to manufacturer specifications as needed.
Install parts such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers, and batteries.
Lubricate moving parts, including engine components and wheel bearings, and keep the engine clean during service.
Diagnose existing issues and consult with lead mechanics to address vehicle issues.
