About The Position

Opelika Ford is hiring an Automotive Quick Lube Technician to perform routine vehicle maintenance and help customers identify maintenance or repair needs. The role is suitable for someone with some experience or a desire to learn oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, and other minor maintenance procedures. Technicians service customer and dealer-owned vehicles, perform tests and inspections, and communicate recommended maintenance or repairs in a professional manner.

Requirements

Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
Strong knowledge of automobile repair and maintenance.
Effective analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Quick Lube service experience; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers professionally and help identify, confirm, and resolve their concerns.
Perform general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and tire rotations.
Conduct thorough, accurate inspections and advise customers about recommended maintenance or needed repairs.
Run tests to verify that systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
Drive vehicles for testing purposes.
Service customer and dealer-owned vehicles efficiently and accurately.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform job tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
