We're looking for an Automotive Desk & Finance Manager who can maximize profitability while delivering a transparent, professional, and efficient purchase experience. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Automotive Desk & Finance Manager to oversee deal structure, financing, lender relationships, and regulatory compliance. This individual will work closely with the sales team to desk deals, secure competitive financing, maximize front- and back-end profitability, and ensure every transaction is completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate understands both the numbers and the customer experience, balancing profitability with long-term customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive Finance Manager, Desk Manager, or similar dealership experience.
  • Proven ability to structure profitable deals while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of retail, lease, lender programs, and automotive financing.
  • Experience selling finance and insurance products with a consistent track record of performance.
  • Knowledge of California DMV procedures and automotive compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with luxury, performance, or European automotive brands.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Leadership experience coaching or mentoring sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and desk retail, lease, cash, and outside-financed transactions.
  • Present financing, warranty, GAP, maintenance, and protection products in a professional, customer-focused manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and lending partners to secure competitive approvals.
  • Ensure every deal complies with all federal, state, and dealership policies, including DMV and lender documentation requirements.
  • Review deals for accuracy before funding and work closely with accounting to ensure timely funding.
  • Partner with the sales team to maximize vehicle gross while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor sales consultants on deal structure, financing opportunities, and product knowledge.
  • Maintain lender programs, menu presentation standards, and finance product penetration goals.
  • Stay current on manufacturer incentives, lender guidelines, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Help create an efficient, positive, and customer-first buying experience from negotiation through delivery.
