Automotive Express Technician - Subaru
About The Position
Balise Subaru of Hadley is hiring an entry-level technician for its Express Maintenance Team. The role offers coaching, mentoring, and paid hands-on and/or web-based factory training to support career growth. Technicians receive weekly pay for 40 hours per week, with wage increases as they progress from Express to Certified to Master Technician. Tool assistance programs, uniforms, and a clean, professional, OSHA-certified work environment are provided. The facility is modern, climate-controlled, and equipped with current technology and equipment. The position develops knowledge of automotive systems, service and repair procedures, estimating job times, identifying parts requirements, communicating requirements through repair orders, and following Service Department quality control and inspection requirements. The employee is expected to take pride in quality work, be motivated to learn and advance, and contribute to the team. The role is located at Balise Subaru of Hadley in Hadley, Massachusetts. Compensation is $15.00–$22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive service fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of automotive tools and shop equipment.
- Professional work ethic and ability to exercise good judgment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid driver’s license and an insurability rating.

Responsibilities
- Learn automotive systems and explain systems and repairs to others.
- Estimate service or repair job times to support efficient scheduling.
- Identify parts required to complete a job and communicate requirements through repair orders.
- Learn and follow approved procedures for service and repairs.
