Automotive Express Technician, Honda
About The Position
Balise is hiring an Entry-Level Technician for its Express Maintenance Team at Honda West Springfield. The role offers coaching, mentoring, paid hands-on and/or web-based factory training, tool assistance, and 40 hours per week of paid work while the technician learns and develops. Technicians can progress from Express to Certified to Master Technician, with wage increases as they advance. The position involves learning automotive systems, service and repair procedures, parts requirements, scheduling estimates, and Service Department quality-control and inspection requirements. The workplace is described as clean, professional, OSHA certified, modern, climate controlled, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of automotive service fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of automotive tools and shop equipment.
- Professional work ethic and good judgment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid driver’s license and an insurability rating.
- Willingness to learn and grow an automotive career.

- Prior technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform express maintenance and service work while following approved procedures.
- Develop knowledge of automotive systems and explain systems and repairs to others.
- Estimate service or repair time to support efficient scheduling.
- Identify parts required to complete a job and communicate requirements through repair orders.
- Comply with Service Department quality-control and inspection requirements.
- Maintain high standards of quality and take pride in work.
